In this six-week FREE block of classes you will start with pencil and pen studies. Through close observation we will learn about form and the different rendering techniques. You will then progress into watercolour looking at the different ways to apply washes for botanical studies while learning about colour mixing.

This course will give you confidence to paint plants while appreciating their form and beauty.
Penny studied painting and drawing at the Julian Ashton Art School, Sydney. Her formal training there gave her a deep appreciation that the insight observational drawing provides. She has been teaching Botanical art for many years in Sydney and the Hunter area. She has combined her two passions of plants and art and enjoys sharing her love of botanical art with her students

What to bring: an A4 sketch book, 2B pencil and eraser to the first class. A material list will be provided in the first class with a list of brush size, paper and watercolours. or a $30 art package supplied
