This is a NAIDOC Week event
Aboriginal cultural fire practitioner Den Barber will discuss his journey from working as a professional Fire Fighter to becoming a Cultural Fire Practitioner.
Den will share his Cultural Burning knowledge highlighting the differences between Hazard Reduction and Cultural Burning.
Den has worked on Cultural Burning projects on private and public land throughout the Hunter and as a Ranger and Aboriginal Co-Management Officer with NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service for more than 15 years.
Tickets to this event are free however bookings are essential.
NAIDOC Week celebrations will be held from 3-10 July 2022.
