Food Fighter Film and Food Night
Join us for a FREE screening of the film FOOD FIGHTER at Performance Arts Culture Cessnock (PACC).
FOOD FIGHTER tells the story of Ronni Kahn, founder of Oz Harvest. It follows her journey as she seeks to expose an inconvenient truth: that four million tonnes of edible food is discarded in Australia every year, while up to two million Aussies suffer from food insecurity.
Filmed over two years and across four continents, FOOD FIGHTER follows Ronniʼs crusade as she partners with the United Nations, rubs shoulders with royalty and Jamie Oliverʼs juggernaut, rifles through dumpster bins and holds government to account.
Light food will be provided on the evening thanks to Hunter Food Relief, with all items created using recovered food ingredients.
This project is a NSW Environment Protection Authority Waste Less, Recycle More initiative funded by the Waste Levy.
